Beneš winery

Family winery of Jaroslav Beneš and his son Roman, members of Bonus Eventus association, was established back in 1996. The roots of the wine production in the Benes family go back to the beginning of 20th century, when father of Jaroslav Beneš started to grow wine on the vineyards of his father in law. Winery uses 6,5 hectares of their own land in the village of Hrušky, vineyard Hastrmany and Podseky. Their main varieties are Gruner Veltliner, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon, Aurelius, Pinot Noir, Blaufrankisch , Cabernet Moravia, Zweigeltrebe and Merlot.

Wines age in the stainless steel tanks as well as ceramic jars and wooden barrels. Since 1999 this winery started bottling their production and are focused mainly on appellation of “quality and attributive wines“.

Wine area of Hrušky village

Village of Hrušky is located 8 kilometers North-East of city of Breclav in the low lands with few smaller hills reaching levels of 175 meters above sea level. The area does have only very few natural water areas. Climate is warm and dry, with average temperature of 9,5°Celsius and average rain of 538 mm. The advantage of the location is good connection to the road system which links Austria – Czech Republic and Poland, being only 4 km away from highway between Praha – Brno and Bratislava.
